Why We’re Planting Trees
Trees play a vital role in our ecosystem, helping to absorb carbon dioxide, improve air quality, and support biodiversity. By planting trees, we’re taking tangible action to reduce our environmental impact and contribute to a greener, healthier future. Our trees are planted in the tropical zone, where they receive the most sunlight and grow at the fastest rate, allowing them to capture maximum CO2. This region is also home to 85% of all terrestrial species and faces significant deforestation challenges, making it a crucial area for conservation efforts.
Our Pledge to Sustainability
As part of the IPRS Group, we are dedicated to achieving Net Zero emissions by integrating Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) practices across our organisation. The Plant a Tree Campaign is just one part of our wider sustainability strategy, reinforcing our commitment to being an environmentally responsible employer.
How It Works
To mark special milestones, we plant trees for every new colleague who joins our team and for every employee’s birthday. This initiative not only symbolizes growth and new beginnings but also ensures that every person who becomes part of PFAS contributes to a lasting positive impact on the environment.
Making a Real Difference
We have partnered with Tree-Nation, an organisation dedicated to reforestation efforts, to ensure that the trees we plant thrive and make a measurable difference in capturing carbon and enhancing biodiversity. By focusing on planting in tropical zones, we are supporting global reforestation efforts where they matter most.
So far, we have planted 4,251 trees, capturing a total of 1,533.42 tonnes of CO2. These numbers continue to grow as we expand our efforts, reinforcing our commitment to creating a healthier planet for future generations.
Employee Involvement Beyond Tree Planting
Our sustainability efforts extend beyond tree planting. We recently launched Matchable, a volunteering platform that connects businesses and colleagues with unique, skills-based volunteering projects that create meaningful social and environmental impact. Through this initiative, employees can engage in projects that align with their expertise while contributing to a greater cause.
