Charity and Volunteering

Learn more about PFAS’ Charity of the Year and Volunteering programmes.

PFAS, as part of the IPRS Group, are extremely proud to represent a colleague chosen charity each year, with a significant number of colleagues taking part in fundraising activities.

Each year, the IPRS Group selects a brand-new charity of the year to raise money through colleagues nominations. We invite all colleagues throughout the group to submit who they would like us to represent with the most nominated charities being put to a group wide vote.

In 2025 we are delighted to be supporting Sands in their mission which resonates with many of us and we are proud to share about an organisation which makes such a profound difference. Sands is a national charity that provides support to anyone affected by the death of a baby. Their mission is to reduce the number of babies dying and to support anyone affected by the death of a baby, before, during, or shortly after birthโ€”whenever this happened and for as long as support is needed.

Sands works with healthcare professionals, trusts, and health boards to provide training and bereavement care resources, ensuring every bereaved parent and family receives the best possible care across the UK.

IPRS Group has a dedicated Charity Team who organise a range of fundraising events throughout the year. We always run  a wide variety of different events from physical challenges to crafts and competitions to ensure all colleges can take part.

Recent examples of fundraising activities include:

  • Three Peaks Challenge
  • London Winter Walk
  • Sunflower Growing Competition
  • Ginger Bread House Decorating
  • Pumpkin Carving

In 2024 we supported Dementia UK raising over ยฃ4,700 with other recently supported charities including Pancreatic Cancer UK, The Brain Tumour Charity, Headway, Living with CAH and Great Ormond Street Hospital.

Volunteering Days at PFAS

The IPRS Group Volunteering Scheme was established following colleagues feedback and is a fantastic opportunity for colleagues to get involved in volunteer projects that benefit your community and beyond.

Through the scheme, after working for PFAS for a year, colleagues will be granted one paid day per year on their full salary in addition to annual leave to take part in a volunteering project.

The scheme is designed to contribute to colleagues having a healthy work/life balance and to be involved in a volunteer project that impacts positively on their community or wider area, whilst still delivering our business objectives. โ€‹

You can support local or national events, community projects, wildlife conservation, sports clubs, and more, the choice is yours!
