PFAS Signs the Mental Health at Work Commitment

PFAS is proud to announce that, on Time to Talk Day, we have signed the Mental Health at Work Commitment, reinforcing our dedication to fostering a workplace that prioritises mental health and wellbeing.

By joining this initiative, PFAS commits to achieving better mental health outcomes and creating a lasting positive impact on our colleagues’ wellbeing. Developed with input from mental health charities, leading employers, and membership organisations, the Mental Health at Work Commitment provides a structured framework for companies that recognise the importance of supporting their workforceโ€™s mental health.

This framework outlines six key standards based on best practices to create an environment where employees can thrive. Over the coming months, PFAS will take proactive steps to:

  • Enhance conversations and feedback from our Mental Health First Aiders and Wellbeing Champions to strengthen our mental health agenda.
  • Raise awareness of the intersection between mental health and financial wellbeing.
  • Provide education, guidance, and signposting around key campaigns, including Womenโ€™s Health, Menโ€™s Health, Childrenโ€™s Mental Health, and Parental Mental Health.

Colleague Wellbeing & Engagement Lead, Nuz Chagan said:

โ€œAt PFAS with the support of our Wellbeing team, Mental Health First Aiders and Wellbeing Champions we want to continue raising awareness around mental health, putting in interventions that are more preventative than reactive.

By signing it shows our commitment, declaring publicly that we do prioritise mental health at work. We want to join likeminded organisations to bring about a movement around the mental health agenda and its connection to the overall holistic approach to wellbeing, aimed at encouraging healthier and happier workforces which in turn supports the betterment of communities and society.โ€

Signing the Mental Health at Work Commitment aligns with our ongoing efforts to ensure that every colleague feels supported, empowered, and able to speak openly about their mental health.

โ€œAt PFAS, we recognise that mental health is just as important as physical health. Signing the Mental Health at Work Commitment is a vital step in ensuring our colleagues feel supported, valued, and empowered to seek help when they need it.โ€” added Anil Nair, Commercial Director.
